The popular Dolphin Bay is still relatively untouched by tourists despite having a large number of top notch resorts along its long white sandy beach. The vast majority of the visitors are Thai with a handful of westerners now discovering it and a small group who have relocated there to enjoy the peaceful beaches, mountain surrounds and good local food.
Dolphin Bay is 15KM south of Khao Kalok and about 45KM south of Hua Hin. It’s a short drive here to the Sam Roi Yot naional park which is a nice day trip, but most people tend to stick to the beach, the numerous large pools at the beach front resorts and bicycle paths.
This area has seen a lot of infrastructure improvements recently, which is a sure sign of big things to come in the area.
Key features of the area are:
Bicycle paths along the beach
Muay Thai & MMA training at 301 Muay Thai & MMA
Boat trips
Cheap beach front sea food restaurants
Lovely long sandy beach walks
Canoeing
Island hopping
Sam Roi Yot national park
Properties are still available here at good prices on large land plots, click here for some examples.
